When fans are hyped, lots of crazy things happen. The book signing event started late, because she got caught up in a heavy traffic on her way to Glorietta 1.
Without further drama, let me share what happened in the event because I, too, can't fight the urge to spill what I've found out.

I'm going to give few details about Marie Lu had said in the interview.
- Marie Lu is married to a... guess what, a (fellow) Filipino! Her husband's name is Primo, and she met him during their internship in Disney. And obviously, she named Elector Primo after her husband. Primo, by the way, is from Bicol; a province in Luzon, Philippines. Primo's relatives actually attended the event as their way of supporting her.
- On talking about which scene did Marie Lu have more difficulty in writing (love scenes or fight scenes), she revealed that she had a hard time writing the love scenes, since she barely have much experiences or background about such romantic intimacy. She said like, how can she write something about what she wasn't allowed to watch? Marie had enjoyed more on the fight scenes as she could visualize the actions or combats and put them into words afterwards.
- You'd be surprised that June was originally written as a boy character. Primo, her husband, just suggested that a girl character would be better. And speaking of June, she did also have a hard time writing June's point of view. Marie did her best to make June sound, and look smart like a real off-the-hook prodigy. She said that, she had to search about the chemical components of a paper clip on the scene where June was being "romantic" (yeah June sucks at romance so she was "smart-talking" about the paper clip ring given to her) with Day. And as for Marie's personal character, she said that. she's more like Day than June.
- AND! She confirmed that Legend is indeed soon to be in cinemas. THAT THE SCREENPLAY IS ALREADY DONE. Did she take part on writing the screenplay? No, she didn't, for she lacks of knowledge on screenplay writing. She revealed that CBS films, and as well as the producers of The Fault In Our Stars would handle the movie. CASTING? There's no casting yet, and she's happy and open to fan suggestions.
- As for The Young Elites, the draft for the second book is already done! And it is expected to be darker than ever.
- AND ANOTHER! She said that she might write, like an extra book, about Anden!
